Handmade Red Sequin woman's shoulder backpack from up-cycled upholstery materials
Looking for a backpack that makes you feel good about yourself? Well, look no further! This backpack has been made using recycled materials that I acquired from an upholstery factory I used to work in – Left over materials were going to be thrown into the skip destined for landfill. You can look stylish and help the planet all at the same time. Thick upholstery material is used for the main pocket of the bag and the lining inside is made up of left-over cotton materials from seamstress work. There are 3 inside pockets, one of which has a zip, to keep your money and anything else secure. I have chosen fun and energetic lining to brighten your day every time you go into your backpack. The top flap is made from recycled materials – Leather/Sequins/velvet Magnetic snaps on both corners of the flap keep the flap in place and secure – these are not recycled; however, I am looking into this for future makes! Straps are made up of leather off cuts – I’ve used leather off cuts because this material is extremely strong and versatile. All bags have been sprayed with scotch guard to resist smudge marks and to make the materials as waterproof as possible. 10inches wide at top 12inches wide at bottom 12inches height 3inches depth Flap – 11 inches
